I'm usually someone who really does not care about New Years Eve. There is always so much pressure to do something, and it has to be something good- that I'd much rather just chill out with friends and forget all about it! Then there is always the issue of 'do you see your boyfriend or friends?!' ...
As me and Chris have been together for 6 New Years now, we've sort of been having a 'NYE together' 'NYE apart' thing going on for the past few years and this year was our 'NYE together!'
My friend Fran goes to university in Edinburgh so invited us up there to celebrate with her friends, boyfriend etc and so me, Chris and some friends from home decided to visit her and go to the Hogmanay street parties and I'm so glad I did as it was fab!! There were thousands of people there - and despite deciding to wear heels (foolish mistake) it was a really good night and changed my mind on 'New Years Eve is crap!'
So even though it feels like a while ago now, I hope you all had a fun New Years Eve. I'm still working on a resolution - maybe to blog more?! Ideas please as I'm pretty useless XO
1)Me and Chris on our way to the street party (note: heels seemed like a good idea at this point)
2)Some friends from home we met up with in Edinburgh
3) Happy New Year fireworks!
4)Me and my pal Alex who came back from Bordeaux, France for New Year XXX
For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we'll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne

Edinburgh is probably the perfect place to be for New Year's Eve. The Hogmanay celebrations are unique, and add a very specific charm to the whole holiday. In my opinion every person should see the Hogmanay at least once in his life.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one to experience... I loved it!! XO
